Lisa Burroughs

Head Clinical Dietitian

My love for nutrition started as a teenager while growing up in Texas as an athlete in high school. I avidly checked out books about eating to improve performance from our school trainer. My teammates would often ask me to share what I had read so that they too could improve performance. Though I didn’t even know what a dietitian was at the time, that little spark of interest would grow into a life-long passion.

Fast forward to now, 25 years as a registered dietitian, and I love this fascinating career! I can’t imagine any other profession more rewarding for me. I am passionate about living healthy and helping others heal through proper nutrition. I see the effects of those who choose to eat healthy and those who don’t, every day in my hospitals. Great nutrition is paramount to reaching any health and performance goal, small or large.

My favorite quote that resonates with my soul more than any other, is by French military leader, Ferdinand Foch. He said, “The most powerful weapon on earth is the human soul on fire.” Without the proper fuel, you cannot maintain a fire. I believe that with the right fuel, your fire can be unstoppable!

Jackie Kirchner

Clinical Dietitian

Jackie is a registered dietitian with over 10 years of experience working with all types of people (from athletes, to moms, to busy business execs, to those living with chronic diseases). She will help you feel your best physically, mentally, and emotionally by using the power of good food and a healthy lifestyle, along with a positive outlook and relationship towards both.

Jackie is taking all her expertise and training on all things nutrition science to bring you the knowledge and tools you need to feel, fuel, and perform at your best. She knows there is no one-size-fits-all when it comes to nutrition, so she doesn’t give out cookie-cutter plans or recommendations. She will work hard to make sure your plan is not only tailor-made to your unique lifestyle and circumstances, but is also sustainable over the long term, so that you can feel your best and achieve your goals.

Jackie lives in northern Illinois with her husband Alex, a meteorologist, and Sophie, a 10-year-old Corgi. Jackie loves staying active by running (she has run several marathons, including the Boston Marathon 3 times). In her spare time, she also bakes sourdough bread, curls up with a good book, or seeks out a hike in the woods or mountains.

Nina Garner

Functional Nutrition Counselor

Hello, my name is Kanina and I am a registered nurse and functional nutrition counselor. At the age of 43, I became extremely ill suddenly. I was once and extremely active runner and fitness competitor and overnight, I became so debilitated that I could barely walk, and was unable to work for a little over three years.

After several hospitalizations, (ICU and cardiac ward), visits to the ER, and appointments with numerous specialists, I realized Western medicine was not equipped to help me heal. After a year of searching for a diagnosis, I was introduced to biohacking and functional medicine. I was educated on nervous system dysregulation, mold toxicity, parasites, heavy metal toxicity, Epstein Barr virus, and functional nutrition. Using food as medicine, replenishing vitamins and minerals, infrared sauna, detoxification protocols, herbal parasite cleansing protocols, and meditation, I healed my body and reversed several chronic illnesses. I started studying functional medicine and became a certified functional nutrition counselor. I also received certifications in intravenous ozone therapy and hyperbaric oxygen chamber therapy and I am currently in the process of receiving a detoxification specialist certification.

Since healing myself functionally and holistically, I have been on a quest to help others heal their bodies with functional/ root cause methods.
